Static analysis, deformation in an assembly

Static analysis, deformation in an assembly

RE: Static analysis, deformation in an assembly

Think about expanding your contact area and reducing your initial increment size.

I tried to chnage the increment time but nothing change, I think it's more about contact...

RE: Static analysis, deformation in an assembly

Judging by the random pattern of stress, and the very low values of the same, it seems that no contact has been made at all. Ask your tutor.

RE: Static analysis, deformation in an assembly

Have you specified that there is a contact between the two parts? Unless you explicitly specify this, the program will not know that they might interact (even though they occupy the same space).

Yes I tried rough and friction contact but the inner piece doesn't seem want to "pass trough" the ext one..

Thank you very much!
