hi all
i want do spring_back in metal forming by abaqus/standard afer i did the forming simulation by abaqus/explicit. any useful steps to do that
thanks

RE: spring_back in metal forming

That's not very difficult. The method is called "Import analysis", which means, that you run your forming analysis in Xpl and define afterwards a new analysis in Std. Here you specify that the part (deformed with results) comes from an existing analysis. You just have to define new BC to constrain the part. Optional you can add other parts to that analysis and define everything else that might be necessary.

See Users Manual 9.2.1 Transferring results between Abaqus analyses: overview

An example of that import method is in the Getting Started Manual 13.5 Example: forming a channel in Abaqus/Explicit.
Another example is in the Example Problems Manual 1.3.7 Axisymmetric forming of a circular cup
