API 5CT - C110 Material

(OP)
I am currently studying for Drilling Tool Surveillance Inspector Exams ( new at this aspect) and I have come across a problem that has me puzzled.

I have read by a manufacturer CONTINENTAL ALLOY stated that[/b]

C110 is an

API controlled yield strength grade generally for use in deeper sour condensate wells. Extensive hardness testing is required along with SSCC testing per NACE Standard TM-0177-Method A. The minimum threshold stress required is 85 percent of specified minimum yield strength.

Available in dimensions of 114.3 mm (4.5") to 406.4 mm (16")

HOW EVER, API 5CT STATES -

5.1 Grades C90, T95 and C110
The purchaser should refer to ISO 15156-2 or ANSI-NACE MR0175/ISO 15156-2 for guidance on the usage of
Grades C90, T95 and C110. Particular attention should be given to the application of Grade C110 in ISO 15156-2
or ANSI-NACE MR0175/ISO 15156-2 SSC Regions 2 or 3, as this material is not suitable for all sour (hydrogen
sulfide-containing) service applications.

I am trying to figure out what I should do if the situation arises.

Regards

Felisha
