Opinions on an Okuma-Howa ACT-20 Lathe

Opinions on an Okuma-Howa ACT-20 Lathe

(OP)
A local shop has an opportunity to purchase a 1996 model OH ACT20 lathe with a Fanuc control. Does anyone have any experience with these machines in regards to general machine quality, longevity, parts availability, etc? Sorry to be so vague, but I am not familiar with the Okuma-Howa machines at all.
Thanks a million in advance!
P.S. The machine looks to be in excellent shape, 30K US is the asking price, comments?

RE: Opinions on an Okuma-Howa ACT-20 Lathe

It's been a little while since I worked on one, but we had 2 Okuma - Howa 4 axis horizontal mills. (mid 80's to mid 90's)  They were imported thru KGK industries in (I think) Arlington Heights, IL.  At that time, the company was very good about repair and service.  The repair men were fast and knowledgeable, and parts inventory was good.  You might check out the local dealer who sold the machine.
