NX9 Face Curvature

NX9 Face Curvature

NX9 Face Curvature

(OP)
I am getting an error "NX License Error: License server system does not support this feature this feature. {-18}",
When I try either Analysis > Shape > Face Curvature, or Analysis > Shape > Facet Body Curvature.

Analysis > Shape > Draft Analysis works fine.
Analysis > Shape > Concave Faces works fine.

Is this a "We don't have the correct license/package problem" or something else???

I had this same error with other selections when I was at 9.0.0.__ , I am now at 9.0.2.5.
We use a License server with bundles "NX Mach 2 Prod Design" and "NX Adv Designer".
I have tried with both bundles.

Thanks,
Rick

RE: NX9 Face Curvature

From my quick test, Face Curvature needs studio_analyze in your license, Facet Body Curvature needs studio_freeform.
Neither of the two bundles you have has either of those features in them.

RE: NX9 Face Curvature

I think that the Draft Analysis requires a Studio_Analyse, so it's odd that this works for you.

If you have access to the directory in where the NX license software resides ( Or if you speak to your sysadmin) there is a logfile from the license server, reading this logfile (Notepad) it will report whats wrong on the last line when you get this message in NX. ( This is how I and presumably Anthony checks what license a feature requires.)

Tomas
