Outline of complex cases in view

Looking for a simple way to view some components in a view with an outer edge outline only. Does anyone know what would be the best way to do this?

RE: Outline of complex cases in view

Extract curve -> precise outline will create curves for the outline of bodies in a given view. The curves are not associative and will not update if/when the view orientation changes. I have a feeling that it won't be quite what you are looking for. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

I'm trying to simplify the reference geometry in the view. This may work for my purposes. If something else comes to mind please let me know. I don't know if we are allowed to share contact info on this forum. But a conversation may be helpful.

RE: Outline of complex cases in view

If you are working in the context of an assembly (and you have an advanced assembly license), you might also want to look into:
  • product outline
  • wrap assembly
  • simplify assembly
