Dear All,

When using the swing eye bolt, how to calculate the body and blind flange in accordance with ASME U Stamp?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Swing eye bolt design with ASME U stamp

Flanges with bolting holes slotted through the edge of the head;- refer ASME VIII-1.

Dear gr2vessels,
thanks for your reply. I found in sec 1- dished covers. Please tell me which eyebolt manufacturer provided the calculation if design calculation required for eye bolt?
Thanks in advance.

RE: Swing eye bolt design with ASME U stamp

That is Section VIII Div. 1. Eyebolt manufacturers provide eyebolts with tested mechanical properties, not calculations. You need to provide supporting calculations for sizing the swing bolts. Better still, you seems to be in need of help, so you should contract a professional pressure vessel designer to do those calculations.
Cheers,
gr2vessels
