Double Wall Tanks

Double Wall Tanks

Double Wall Tanks

(OP)
Hi Everyone,

Is there provision on the standards like NFPA,API or UL that permits fabrication of double wall tanks in lieu to construction of bundwall or containment wall in a tank farm?

Tank is aboveground, horizontal with 55,000 liters capacity.

Appreciate your comments.

Thanks

RE: Double Wall Tanks

Round steel dikes are common in tight facilities.

RE: Double Wall Tanks

The API/UL/NFPA tank standards address secondary containment and leak detection to a limited extent, but generally don't say when you need it.
That is addressed by federal standards and by local building and fire codes, which will reference NFPA 30 and/or the Uniform Fire Code.
From the bund/liter terminology, I assume you are likely not in the US, and would need to research local requirements in your area.
