Commissioning Procedure

Commissioning Procedure

Commissioning Procedure

(OP)
Dear All,

I need insight on how to develop a commissioning/start-up procedure for a compressor station. What are the sequences that need to be adhere to and recorded?
The station is been refurbished after a long time of shutdown.

Your expertise and wisdom is highly appreciated.

Thanks for your anticipated cooperation.

Regards,

RE: Commissioning Procedure

Hello asade,

"Compressor station" is rather generic...

Natural gas forwarding station? Skid-mounted mobile air compressor? Some other gas?

Capacity? Pressure ranges? Driven electrically, by some sort of natural-gas fuelled internal combustion engines, or gas turbines?

Prevailing climate? Age of equipment? How well was the equipment mothballed at the time of being taken out of service? Attended or unattended plant? If unattended, compatibility of equipment monitoring facilities with today's technology? What technology is being retained and what replaced/upgraded?

Where are you in all of this? Working for the compressor station owner, employed by a sub-contractor, having this dropped in your lap by a commissioning firm, or what?

Needing information to make recommendations...
