Components lose assigned color when exported as .jt file
Components lose assigned color when exported as .jt file
(OP)
We have specific colors that must be applied to specific components to fulfill one of our project requirements. Once this is done, the file is exported as a .jt file for use in Vis Mockup. Colors are being applied to the solid body, sheet body, and component in the NX Assembly. When I bring the .jt into Vis, all of the component colors have changed themselves. Is there a setting I'm missing? It has to be exported as a .jt file to carry the meta data into Vis Mockup. Or is this perhaps a setting that needs changing on the Vis side?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

What color is coming in? Is it all one color? This works in JT2go. Opening this file up in Vismockup may be a different than JT2go. Have you tried opening the file in JT2go? What happens when you export out just an individual part? What color is the JT file comes in then?
Are you exporting the assembly as individual files or one JT file for the entire assembly.
GTAC maybe a good choice if this is not working for ya. Sorry.
Thanks

So, in your assembly, highlight the component you want to change color, right mouse click and choose "Make Displayed Part". Then, click on "Edit", "Object Display", pick the solid body, hit "OK", click on "Color", change the color, save your part.
Do this for every component you want to change color. Then, when you create the JT and open it up in JT2Go, it will be the colors you designated.
