Nozzle Schedule

Nozzle Schedule

(OP)
Dear Friends,

i have one doubt regarding the selection of nozzle (Pipe neck & Flange) schedule for the API 650 Storage Tanks nozzles.

How to select the schedule of the nozzles?
from API 650, Table 5.6a & 5.6b we will get the Nominal Thickness of Flanged Nozzle Pipe Wall, So with respect to this how will select the schedule.

Thanks in Advance.

RE: Nozzle Schedule

Hi Mo,
You choose the respective Pipe Schedule based on ASME B36.10.
Hope this help.

RE: Nozzle Schedule

If you are building an API 650 tank, use the pipe wall thicknesses and grades in API 650. The thicknesses in tables 5.6a and 5.6b typically correspond to "extra-strong" pipe which is often but not always schedule 80. Also, see note A in the tables.
