25 to 50 years would be relatively common design scenarios.

I would guess that "condensate return" carbon steel piping systems would be classified under "HVAC Systems".... high rate of corrosion 3-8 year design life.

Would a "raw water" system also be part of an HVAC system / Again, high rates of corrosion
