Non-Linear Transient Analysis

Non-Linear Transient Analysis

Non-Linear Transient Analysis

(OP)
Hello All,

I'm fairly new to ANSYS. I've been trying to do an analysis of a large deflection cantilever beam with a harmonic force at the end. I started trying to use harmonic analysis, but found I couldn't include non linear effects, so I switched to transient analysis. I was able to get the program to run but with no convergence. I know in static cases you need to time step for convergence, but didn't really understand that point. Could anyone give me any tips on getting started with this analysis?

Thanks,
Andrew
