Opening .STP file Error Number: 1

Opening .STP file Error Number: 1

Opening .STP file Error Number: 1

(OP)
Hello,

We are having some issues opening a .STP model file, supplied from one of our customers.

On my colleague's PC, when he tries to open the file via 'Open', he gets the following error message (also see attachment):

'Could not open Q:/---03682A-AP-AB.STP The following files could not be loaded, causing this open to fail. Error number: 1.'

The strange thing is that if I try to open the file on my PC, it opens without issue and converts to a .PRT file, which my colleague can then open from his PC!

Both PC's are 64-bit.

Any helpful suggestions are very welcome!

RE: Opening .STP file Error Number: 1

Check if you're running the same version of NX. Normally I find the Error Number 1 when reading STEP files is solved by going to the latest release possible.
More than likely your system is patched to a later level than the other.
The other thing is you have a very long path in the error message, try putting the file in a shorter folder structure.
