Coating for acidic environment

(OP)
We are designing a grating system that requires acid resistance. We are using fiberglass grating, but I am wondering about the steel framing. Is there some sort of standard coating commonly used for acid corrosion resistance?

RE: Coating for acidic environment

You could consider an epoxy-phenolic paint for the steel.

RE: Coating for acidic environment

If you're talking about agressive acids, like sulfuric, coatings will only work until it chips or wears, which is usually pretty soon after they're applied. The flanges are easy, but the corners, connections, and wearing surfaces are hard to do right and are susceptable to attack.
There are companies, such as Strongwell, who make FRP structural shapes. They'll even design them for you, if you specify it that way. I don't like delegating designs like that and using exotic materials, but they do a good job.
