Anchor Bolt/Pedestal Design according to European standards ETAG

Anchor Bolt/Pedestal Design according to European standards ETAG

(OP)
Dear all,

I am designing anchor bolts on concrete pedestal for design forces according to ETAG (TR029) . I have a few queries regarding the same:

1. Value of hef seems to not change much if the pedestals are small (cmax < ccr,N). This I understand although is their some clause to allow use of higher hef.
2. Since the effective length of the anchor bolt does not change much I have failure under tension (pull out, cone failure, splitting etc.) irrespective of bolts used.
3. Is their an effective way of using the reinforcement in the concrete to share the forces. I don't see an explicit clause for the same. I see it is allowed as per ACI although they have not given a procedure.

To give an idea of the structure (simple pinned column on base plate and footing pedestal),

Tension force = 700 kN
4 bolts of 24 (Grade 8.8) 650 mm long are being used.
Base plate size 300 x 280
Pedestal size 500 x 360
Distance between bolts - horizontal - 180 mm
vertical - 90 mm

Thank you
