Dwg component is not visible in modelling

Dwg component is not visible in modelling

Dwg component is not visible in modelling

(OP)
Hello,

I have a dwg with a model as a component. I did not create this assembly.
The model is in work layer 254, and I have the reference set as "entire part" and I still cannot see the model. I have un-hide everything and change the background in case it is the same color as the model. Using NX9. I notice that the component icon is a bit different than normal. Looks like there is a sheet behind the yellow cube.

Thanks!

RE: Dwg component is not visible in modelling

you need to look into the show component in view command to see if that is where the issue is
assemblies -> context control -> show component in view

RE: Dwg component is not visible in modelling

oh wait, that is for the drawing I initially misread you post
change to a different canned view to see if the component shows up

RE: Dwg component is not visible in modelling

You have a "drafting component", a view added from another part. It will not show up in the modeling application because it isn't there. It only exists as a view on your drawing sheet.
