Hello,
I have created a custom view in modeling but when I go to drafting to import it I can not see it to select it.

Thanks in advance for any help

RE: Can't see view in drafting

What version of NX?
Are you using the master model method (model is component in drawing)? If so, have you added drafting views from the drawing part or from the model part?

I am using NX 9. I have a FCA (Chrysler Drawing) sent to me by FCA. It seems with there drawings when I am in the modeling side of the drawing and want to creat a custom view I can only see it on the modeling side, when I go to drafting and try to import using the base view button I only see the standard views.

RE: Can't see view in drafting

When adding a base view, make sure the "selected part" is the drawing file and not the model file (or vice-versa if that is your workflow).

WOW!! That has been bugging me...With GM I do not have to do that...You nailed it.

Thanks a million.
