Using NX 8.5.3.3

I am creating a drawing for Master model piston which is done in NX 4.0.3.3 version.
It has two types of grooves located at center and at the very edge of piston. ( It is combination of Pattern and Mirror command to uniformly distribute grooves in symmetry). Number of grooves in center and edge can vary depending on configuration designer choose.
So for Example, I have 6 grooves (0.500 Width) in center and 2 grooves (5.000 width) at very edge of piston and dimension them from Piston edge.
If I apply next config of 2 groove in center (4.900 width) and 6 groove(0.500 width) at edge of piston.
I have used "Suppress drafting Object" command for dimensions of grooves which are not present in configuration and are correctly shown when grooves configs are getting displayed. But anyhow it is loosing its dimensional associativity for additional grooves (result of pattern+mirror). Any idea how can it be resolved???
