Lag in Sketcher with section

(OP)
Hello,

i'm having a problem. I've imported a section in .iges format and i'm trying to make a sketch based on this section, but the program is lagging on every move that i make in sketch. Drag, zoom....It was working fine, but now for the last few weeks is really difficult. I've tryed with NX9.0 and 10.0 with latest updates.
I've attached the section i was working on.

Thanks

could it be a graphic card driver? I'm using quadro2100M. Wich driver version should i use?

RE: Lag in Sketcher with section

There seems to be something wrong with the attached file. ( at least my Chrome browser doesn't want to open/ download anything)

from what i read, it sounds as if the iges file is a section (?)
- consisting of how many objects?
- have you imported the entire section into a single sketch ?

Iges files are sometimes "not ideal...", what looks simple can be extremely heavy data.
Check the objects in the import, is a line a true line ? ( or a spline ?) - Use information - Object.
You can also use Layer Settings - Information, it will report how many objects and the type of object.

The graphics driver , is a "non exact science"...,
Have a look at https://support.industrysoftware.automation.siemen...
then you might be lucky and this recommended / certified driver works perfect for you smile

Regards,
Tomas

RE: Lag in Sketcher with section

A point cloud existing out of how many points? Could it be a memory problem?

Best regards,

Michaël.
