API 2W Grade 50T

(OP)
I am working on an offshore project that specifies the use of API 2W grade 50T steel plate.

I have a copy of the API 2W specification fifth edition 2006 and there is no mention of what the 'T' designates. I previously found some information from a supplier website indicating that grade 50T had a slightly higher tensile strength than grade 50 however I can find no solid evidence of this.

This question has been put to our customer but they are less than helpful.

I have a suspicion that the 'T' may have been a carry over from an earlier revision of the API 2W spec but do not have access to any previous revisions.

I know this is a very specific question but perhaps someone can provide some clarification.

Cheers
