Bystar 3kw air in bypos water circuit

Bystar 3kw air in bypos water circuit

Bystar 3kw air in bypos water circuit

(OP)
When I turn on the laser I get a bypos error on the pc screen.
When I let some water out from the water circuit of the bypos in the cnc carriage the air comes out and
the error is gone and I can cut with the laser.
When I shutdown the laser at the next startup it is the same thing.
It doesn't mater if it stay off for few minutes or few hours.
The service man said to change the proportional valve of the bypos.
Did anybody had this kind of problem or have any suggestions?

Best regards,

Imre

I forgot to say that I have changed the heat exchangers in the MCS, CNC and the Resonator cabinet.
I didn't fill them with water. Is it possible that that air is makingthe problem with the bypos?
have tried to let out air in the bypos booster pump but no air came out.

RE: Bystar 3kw air in bypos water circuit

Are you sure you are getting air in the system? If so, you have a leak. When you shut the machine off, you have a few pounds of negative pressure at the bypos mirror simply because it is a few feet above water level. The fittings used are not designed to take vacuum and can leak under vacuum but not under pressure. If you don't see a leak under pressure keep this in mind. After shutting the machine off, look at the hoses with a bright light and see if you see the water receding it will help you figure out what fitting is leaking. Sometimes just replacing the hose or cutting the hose back will help.

Be careful, air in the system causes water hammer and can damage the bypos mirror. always bleed the system with the booster pump off. Occasionally reversing the hoses at the mirror with the booster pump off will also help keep the restrictor in the outlet fitting clear.
