what is L/R & W/R?

what is L/R & W/R?

what is L/R & W/R?

hi all,

while I was looking to a single line diagram of a substation, I noticed the following line in the protection table:
( GE F650( O/C & L/R & W/R)). I've checked the datasheet of GE F650 but i couldn't find any kind of protection called L/R or W/R. and I don't think it is the decaying time constant. any ideas?

cheers.

RE: what is L/R & W/R?

At a guess, L/R is probably local / remote. Not sure about w/r though - possibly write / read on a data bus?

RE: what is L/R & W/R?

finally I could contact the designer and he replied that L/R is leakage relay and W/R is watt relay.
thanks folks.

RE: what is L/R & W/R?

wow - would have never considered those.

I guess that is why folks use ANSI designations.

RE: what is L/R & W/R?
