Custom toolbar - command reordering

Custom toolbar - command reordering

RE: Custom toolbar - command reordering

Did you or somebody else write the macro or journal that executes this button ?

RE: Custom toolbar - command reordering

Hi all.

@ Jerry, that is the "Repeat Last Command" button. Not a special created button.
Don't know why it is assuming "hide components in view" is the last activated command when you switch between modelling and drafting... Might be a bug...
Can't find anything about it on Gtac Support

Oh, sorry about that.

RE: Custom toolbar - command reordering

I'm sorry, but when I switch from Drafting to Modeling and back, or the other way round, using NX 8.5.3.3, the 'Repeat Command' list is reset. I'm not aware of any situation where switching between major modules does not reset the 'Reapeat Command' list.

(OP)
I did not mean to repeat command toolbar, but custom toolbar with "drafting edit" command.

NX 8.5.3.3

RE: Custom toolbar - command reordering

OK, this is really odd. One thing I learned, it has nothing whatsoever to do with the 'Hide Componet in View' icon. It only seems to happen if the first icon in the Pull-Down is the 'Edit Style' icon. I tried several different combinations and as long as the first icon was the 'Edit Style' icon it will always default to some other icon in the Pull-Down and it's not easy to predict which one as I've got cases where it's consistently the second icon and other where it's the third or fourth icon, but unless it's the only icon, the 'Edit Style' will never be the default icon when switching applications. And it doesn't seem to be effected by the order in which icons were first added the Pull-Down nor if you were edit the order afterwards, as long as the first icon the 'Edit Style', it will not behave the way you would expect it to.

Note that while normally at this point I would recommend that you contact GTAC and have them open a PR, since NX 9.0 introduced the new Ribbon interface and while it is still possible to run both NX 9.0 and NX 10.0 using the legacy 'Toolbar' UI, this will NOT be supported once we're past NX 10.0 so I suspect that even if you did open a PR, that is would be rejected.

Anyway, I'm just being candid by letting you know what's likely to happen if this is pursued.
