electrical power during grid connection

electrical power during grid connection

electrical power during grid connection

(OP)
i'm looking to find an answer about grid connection of nuclear power plant.
in over plant, there is limit for thermal power 45 MW (16 MWe) whenever generator connected to grid. why we need that minimum power???
is this due to reverse power????

RE: electrical power during grid connection

I am not a Nuclear Power Station expert and not a thermal engineer.
Since this is not an electric issue but a thermo-nuclear problem actually, I think it is not the scope of this forum.
However, Fossil Power Station Boiler could not operate below 15% [as far as I know].So, I think, the boiler limits minimum power.
In the following article- for instance-for a nuclear unit of 900 MW the minimum 5% it would be required [45 MW].
