In NX9, I would like to add analysis-simple interference and Information-Part-Part History (or the equivalent) to the ribbon or side bars.
I have not been able to find them, using Command Finder, anywhere but on the dropdown Menu. any thoughts?

Thanks

RE: analysis-simple interference and Information-Part-Part History

Right click on a blank space in the ribbon, then select customise from the bottom.
You can then open the menu to find the commands you want and holding CTRL, you can drag & drop them onto the ribbon.

Otherwise, see the attached image for where in the customise menu you can find the commands.

Anthony - thank you.
Do you know if these will go away when the Menu drop down goes away in NX11? I wouldn't think so but...

RE: analysis-simple interference and Information-Part-Part History

Whoever said the Menu drop down goes away in NX11?

Anthony - glad to hear you say that - I think there might have been a misunderstanding of the terms classic menus and Menu bar in discussions I have been involved in.
Thanks

The classic interface (Pre-Ribbon) is what goes as of NX11. From NX11 onwards, it's ribbon only.

Who told you that the "Menu drop down" was going away in the next version of NX? This is NOT true!

everyone-
I believe there was a miscommunication/misunderstanding between "classic Menus" and "Menu" when we were being update trained. :)
Thanks!

RE: analysis-simple interference and Information-Part-Part History

Yes, the 'Classic Toolbar' User Interface Environment is only going to supported as an option to the Ribbon thru the current release, NX 10.0. However, the so-called 'Menu' item and it's 'drop-down' access to the suite of NX fucntions, found at the left-side of the Ribbon interface, will remain with us in perpetuity, at least that's the plan.
