COM Error - NX8.5 Excel 365

COM Error - NX8.5 Excel 365

COM Error - NX8.5 Excel 365

(OP)
We have just upgraded our office suite to 365 but some machines are having errors when updating parts tables using the Excel add-on.
I have checked all the options files and the UG add-on is active and has the same attributes as those on machines that do update there parts table via excel 365.

the error is the following:
Excel Automation Error_NX (COM error code 80010105)
This happens when exiting the spreadsheet and updating the table (usually where excel flashes a few times)

I gather from reading some posts that 365 isn't really supported on older versions of NX, but can't seem to find any literature as to what exact version.
It seems strange that it works on some machines and not others.

I have also checked that there are no formulas in the spreadsheet

Thanks in advance for your help

Adam

RE: COM Error - NX8.5 Excel 365

If you've installed Office 365, are you using the so-called 'cloud' option? If so, this might be the problem. I believe that NX still only supports Office products which are installed and running locally on the system where NX is running.

John, Thank you for your reply.
365 is installed locally but licenses etc are on the cloud.
It seems to work on some machines but not others.... which is a bit strange.
I have spoken with Team who have asked siemens directly and they ahve said that the cloud can cause issues....

Thanks again
