HI
can any one tell me how to edit .inp file of abaqus to include a sine force? Kindly reply

RE: abaqus

Hi,

To define sine force you need to generate sinus amplitude (*AMPLITUDE) and next use it with load (*CLOAD).

CODE

**
** define sinus amplitude
*AMPLITUDE, NAME=sinus-AMP, DEFINITION=PERIODIC
** N, w, t0, A0
   1, 1.0, 0.0, 0.0
** A1, B1
  0.0, 1.0
**
** apply load in x direction
*CLOAD, AMPLITUDE=sinus-AMP
nset, 1, 1.0
**

The amplitude is defined as periodic, equation used to define shape you can find in Abaqus documentation: Abaqus Analysis User's Manual, 33.1.2 Amplitude curves.
Parameters w & B1 allow you control shape of sinus function, other parameters are set to 0 to reduce equation only to sinus term.

Regards,
Bartosz
