Metal Framed Buildings - Wall Girts

Hi,

I am looking for a design resource book with some good examples on design of wall girts, sag rods and possible connections. AISC Design Guide 22 discusses the design in narrative, however looking for some good design examples.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Look to getting some MBMA publications (Metal Building Manufacturers Association).

Another source of information is The AISI (American Iron & Steel Institute). The have some cold-form metal design guides and some MathCad design templates.

Alexander Newman's book is an excellent resource: Link

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.

didn't read kootk's suggestion but i really liked the foundation for metal bldgs book by Alexander Newman. if it anything like that it will be great
