Junior Electrical Engineer (QA/QC Department)

(OP)
Hello everyone,

This is my first post but I have been reading Eng tips forums for about a year. I really appreciate the knowledge and information this forum provides to young engineers and I believe that a lot of the contributors here serve as an excellent example for continuous personal development.
In brief, I recently signed a contract with an EPC company as an Electrical Engineer for the QA/QC department. I had also worked as an apprentice for the same company in a CCPP for the Commissioning department. I would like you to provide me with an abstract of my possible duties and some resources where i can learn about the procedures I am going to be held responsible for(technical details from the company were minimum). I have two weeks before I start and I would like to be a little ahead as far as my preparation is concerned due to my lack of experience.
I apologise if my request sounds stupid, but before my apprenticeship i didn't even knew a QA/QC department existed. FYI, the project contains a simple cycle GT plant and both I and the EPC firm comes from a small country so i may come across tactics that may not be common to how well established EPC firms practice their quality plan. Any relative informations, tips, "watch out(s)" and resources (books, standards, technical documents) are more than welcomed.

Thanks in advance thumbsup2

RE: Junior Electrical Engineer (QA/QC Department)

As a matter of fact, the content for QA is different for different tasks ,after all the engineering, design and construction work are different.moreover you can adjust based on different situation of the projects.
