Hello guys,
I am looking for post weld heat treatment process for Alum 6061 T6 aluminum weldment. I am talking about sizes of street light poles.
Any input is appreciated.

In the above link from ESAB it states that we need to use filler 4643 in case we are performing PWHT.
Now, I don't know what other changes should be involved in terms of welding equipment etc.
Also, this link says base material as ALUM 6061 T6, but in my case I am welding 6061 T6 extrusion to ALUM 356 casting. Not sure my case is different from what ESAB saying. I will also email their technical support & see what they have to say.
Further coming back to my original question, I believe (I could be wrong) that there is no liquid quenching involved in this PWHT. Just air cooling after 6hrs of holding at 360 deg F is sufficient. Any one know more information about this. or any study material/ resource would be appreciated.
