Calculating Btu from oil and gas production

Calculating Btu from oil and gas production

(OP)
Is there a way of taking daily (or monthly) oil and gas production, and calculate the Btu on a well? What formulas would I incorporate into my production spreadsheet? This will help in analyzing a field.

Many thanks,
JAnderson

RE: Calculating Btu from oil and gas production

Yes. its an energy calculation. You need some good compositional data, usually gas and liquid or total fluid composition.

Also Double or triple posting is not allowed on this site.

My motto: Learn something new every day

Also: There's usually a good reason why everyone does it that way

Sorry about that; I wasn't sure which forum to pose the question to. Thanks for the response.
