9.0 ordinate dimensioning with a jog

9.0 ordinate dimensioning with a jog

I'm trying to use the ordinate dimensioning and having issues with trying to add a jog to any existing dimension. I click on the handle to add the jog but nothing happens. I miss the handles that used to allow you to grab and drag the location of the jog as well. Anything I'm missing?
I'm not impressed with the drafting in version 9 so far.
Thanks

RE: 9.0 ordinate dimensioning with a jog

Double click the dimension, then select the handle at the dimension point to change style.
Then after that, you have to click the dimension and move it to a desired location.
Click again the dimension point if need to move the jogged line.
I agree, this is not very user friendly method.

RE: 9.0 ordinate dimensioning with a jog

All you have to do is hold shift while moving the dim and a jog will be added

If you can think it it can be modeled

Thanks that helps with adding or removing the jog.
Is there also a way to quickly move the jog position up or down without having to guess at a height value?

Thanks
Mitch

RE: 9.0 ordinate dimensioning with a jog

Are you talking about the location of the dimensions text or the location of the 'jog' itself? If it's the dimension text, just drag it while holding down the shift key as was pointed out by Ryan. If it's the 'jog' itself, while editing the dimension select the green handle at the end of the extension line and you'll see additional green arrow handles added to the 'jog' portion of the dimension extension line. These can be used to manually change the size and location of the 'jog' itself.

Thanks to all who replied. I'm able to now finish the ordinate dimensioning the way I'm used to seeing it. Sometimes a few extra steps but none the less its done.

Thanks again
Mitch
