What file calls the customer defaults files (i.e. group.dpv & site.dpv? I was looking through my log file and found the actual .dpv files, but I was wondering where they are called from. I am looking into creating another group user default file (group2.dpv).

Sorry. I'm running NX9.0

RE: customer default group.dpv file

Have a look in the log file and you will see two variables, UGII_SITE_DIR and UGII_GROUP_DIR.
When those variables exist (they are not set OOTB) to point to a folder, NX will allow settings/defaults for user and group, not just user.

I don't believe you can have two group .dpv files at the same time, but you can specify one group to have one dpv and another group to use the other, by specifying a different UGII_GROUP_DIR folder for the two distinct group users.

Found it. Just need to figure out where that variable is set. We have a tool that we use to open NX/TC that requires us to select which group we are a part of. I am a member of all locked and unlocked groups, but was looking to create another. Unfortunately I do not have write access to that directory. We are run by IT Nazi. I may have to stick with one of the unlocked groups. Thanks for the help.
