I've been recently incorporating some perforated shearwalls into some of designs and feel that I have decent understanding of the provisions found in the SDPWS-2008. However, I thought I might use equations 4.3-5 and 4.3-6 (Sugiyama's eqn.) to compute the adjustment factor (Co) instead of having to double interpolate table 4.3.3.5. I am finding that my computed value is always slightly greater than the tabulated value, perhaps I am somehow calculating this incorrectly. I was wondering if anyone else has ran into this same issue or noticed anything similar?

As a side note I've decided to try and create a perforated shearwall calculator since I could not find anything online to my liking. This will be above and beyond my usual spreadsheet calculators so it might take a while to piece together. I'm currently working only on the interface, you can try it here, it is still a bit of a kludge and it works best right now with Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer seems to have some issues with the SVG rendering:

It doesn't actually calculate anything yet but I think the basic interface is slowly emerging. Let me know what you think and also what features or improvements would make the interface better and easier to use.

I plan on calculating Co using the equations in the SDPWS which will mean that my values will not be as conservative if someone were to use table 4.3.3.5.

The tables assume the opening is full height, so there Ao is larger (I believe). I think there is some information in the commentary on this.

What I said was misleading. However read the commentary on page 69 of the 2008 wind and Seismic (section C4.3.3.5). I remember have a similar finding as you.
