We are a fabricator of stainless steel pressure vessels and are going through the process of getting our license to the subject specification for export to China (by our customer). The material requirements jump from carbon and low alloy steel material to aluminum and non-ferrous materials without anything specifically for high alloy steel or stainless steel.

Does anyone know how high alloy or stainless steels are to be treated under this specification? What bothers me is the chemical requirements for low temperature vessels (< -20C) standard ASME 304 and 316L materials will not meet the low sulphur and P requirements.

Really...nothing?! No one is fabricating stainless steel vessels for export to China?
