NX 7.5 - Assembly Constraints w/ Gray Text?

NX 7.5 - Assembly Constraints w/ Gray Text?

NX 7.5 - Assembly Constraints w/ Gray Text?

(OP)
Good morning, Eng-Tips,
I have run across an assembly file that has some assembly constraints whose text is "grayed-out" in the Dependencies pane of the Assembly Navigator. I've attached an image to clarify (I removed part numbers for confidentiality reasons). I've looked online and through the help file, but I can't figure out what the grayed-out constraints signify. You'll notice in the attached image that one constraint has black text and the other has the gray text I am talking about. Does anyone know what these grayed-out constraints mean?

Thanks!

RE: NX 7.5 - Assembly Constraints w/ Gray Text?

Hello,

They're blanked out (on screen), it's the same as when you blank a loaded component.

RE: NX 7.5 - Assembly Constraints w/ Gray Text?

Note that this only has an effect if the 'Display Constraints' option(s) are toggled ON. If they're toggled OFF, none of the constraints will be displayed anyway. This ability to 'Hide' and 'Show' constraints is only useful when you wish to see some but not all constraint symbols superimposed on your Assembly.
