Manufacturing module questions

Manufacturing module questions

Manufacturing module questions

(OP)
I'm starting to work with Manufacturing for the first time and have a few questions:
Is there a way to show total machining time for a part? If I go into "information" for each operation there is a time listed there but for a large part it's time consuming to go through each operation. Is this time estimate considered more or less accurate? I know I will need to add time for tool changes. I tried modifying the post file to show the time at the end of the program, per these instructions, but it doesn't work: http://swooshtech.blogspot.com/2014/01/tips-tricks...

How do I view the speed/feed data associated with each material when defining the Workpiece? How can a new material be added?

That's all for now; I'm sure I'll have more to come. Thanks!

RE: Manufacturing module questions

You can see the time on the operation navigator - You may need to add this from the Columns option. See attached image

If you going to modify the post I would recommend reading some of the posts on

http://community.plm.automation.siemens.com/t5/NX-...

You can add material by editing the Machining data libraries - READ the help docs first.
