Incident Report - Part Number Exists - Must be Unique?

Incident Report - Part Number Exists - Must be Unique?

(OP)
We have CATIA V5R22 SP3
I have built a large catproduct.
Within the top assembly (-01) there are (qty) 2 catproducts (-02 and -03). Each unique and not opposite.
Within each of the -02 and -03 there are 3 more catproducts and a couple thousand more detail parts.
When I open the -01, I get an "Incident Report":
Type: "Information"
Description: "The part number -03 already exist. It must be unique in an assembly"

I have checked the naming and numbering for all the parts and have found no duplicates.
I have checked all the numbers generated by SmarTeam (V5-6R2012 SP3) and found no duplicates.

What might be causing this error?
Thanks,
Herb....
