USING EXCEL FILE TO ADD PROPERTIES

USING EXCEL FILE TO ADD PROPERTIES

USING EXCEL FILE TO ADD PROPERTIES

(OP)
Hey all,

I'm having a problem using an excel file to add properties to a CATPart file. If there is a space or non-letter character in the property name then they will come in with quotes around them. We use these properties to run a B.O.M. program and the quotes cause problems. So, for now, we can run the 'External properties' to import the excel file then we need to go into each property and delete the quotes.

Is there a way to stop the quotes from being added?

Thanks for any help you all can give.

RE: USING EXCEL FILE TO ADD PROPERTIES

The same thing happens when you manually add a Parameter in CATIA. Quotes get added when the name has a space. I was told to always use an underscore instead of a space, because that's what real programmers do.
