NX9 export assembly attributes list
NX9 export assembly attributes list
(OP)
Hey all,
I searched for this subject matter with no avail.
My customer sent NX9 data for our review. I would like to export specific (string) attributes of each part into the "information window" or preferably an excel spread sheet. For instance: Working at the top level assembly I have 20 parts beneath. Each part has the same title attributes such as part name, material, thickness, & weights as each part value may be unique. Can I list/filter just the attributes I want to see and preform this export/viewing? At a minimum If I need to list "all" attributes Ill take that technique as well. Thank you in advance.
Todd

RE: NX9 export assembly attributes list
File -> Properties -> Attibutes
...dialog in the section labeled 'Export'?
Note that is you have a Check Mate license you could also use it to check for the existence of specific attributes both by name or by value of specified attributes.
And then there's the Visual Report mechanism where you could also create say a report that shows which Components of an Assembly has what attributes assigned to them.
Of course, if you need something very specificm it would be fairly straightforward to create an NX Open program which could extract that sort of data from your part files.

Option 1 would not keep the assembly structure but give you a quantity count and option two would keep the assembly structure but would not give a quantity count.
