Might be getting too fancy- Threaded hole with plain section (pinch feature)

Afternoon all-

I'm trying to create a counterbored hole that goes through two thicknesses, with a thread on one. It's for a bolt that you can tighten to pinch a part together (best see attached photo) but can't figure out how to leave a plain section on the thread definition. Does anyone know? I'd rather not have to create two hole features.
Apologies for the terrible paint-style markings, by the way.

Cheers
Simon

RE: Might be getting too fancy- Threaded hole with plain section (pinch feature)

I would use the two hole method. Counter bore and clear the top and add a thread only to the opposite side. Catia's hole method supports only 2 types to 1 hole. You could cheat the top clear hole with a thickness but now you are back to two commands of which one is a cheat.
The detail, if required, would draw properly in drafting with the 2 hole method.

Derek

Ah well... As long as it's not something I'm missing then that's OK.
Thanks very much for your help!
