save as pdf works fine except one thing. i can't change any setting like line thickness.sometimes hidden lines looks solid especially on small elements like countersinks. if i use print as pdf everything is fine except text. is not recognizable by adobe pdf.
is there any way to change setting in save as pdf? did some searches on board and nothing helpful.

RE: catia pdf issue

I assume you are using the catia pdf plotter and not a third party pdf plotter?

go to the printers properties window
next to the driver drop down there is the "Advanced Configuration.." button. click it
in that window
-uncheck "save as Pdf/a
-uncheck "Discretize fonts"
-check Always subset

click ok
try your print again and you should be able to hylight the text

RE: catia pdf issue

If this does not work, you should be able to click the save as pdf/a option and it will auto matically embed all fonts.. but this results in a much larger file size

thanks.
i use adobe pdf printer. i like to use safe as pdf more than print. i use macro for that.
i will try your settings tomorrow.

RE: catia pdf issue

you should give the catia pdf plotter a shot. it's options work good and it doesn't suffer from sheet size limitations like most of the other pdf plotters i've found.

good luck
