Mirrored text in SE draft?

Mirrored text in SE draft?

Mirrored text in SE draft?

(OP)
Hi all,

Anybody know how to produce mirrored text in SE draft? I can't find any options to mirror it, using the mirror command mirrors the text box but not it's contents, and making it a symbol and mirroring that produces some very strange results.

There must be some way of producing backwards text in draft surely?

Best Regards

Duncan

RE: Mirrored text in SE draft?

Text in Draft has always been a weak point of SE,
I was able to mirror it in draft, but it's a bit like herding cats!
The only way I can see to do it reliably is to make a Text Profile
in a sketch from a Part file, copy and paste it into your draft file.
From there you can mirror it, but of course it is no longer text, just geometry.

Thanks for that, it certainly works but of course you get the text as an unfilled outline so if you want filled text you need to hatch each letter :-/

The only other way I can think of is to mirror a font in Fontographer, and make a new mirrored ttf.

Rather annoying that this doesn't work anyway though, after paying so much for SE in the first place!
