thread164-349880: Stuck in EPANET

Hi to all!

I am new to EPANET. When I run "dynamic pattern" for 24 hours, it warns me:

WARNING: Negative pressure at 5:00:00 hrs.
WARNING: Pump open but exceeds maximum flow at 5:00 hrs.

On the one side of the system is a reservoir (water well; supposing that it has enough yield) and on the other side on higher level is a tank.

How can I solve my problem, should I increase the diameters of the pipes, or install more powerfull pump (greater flow).

Thank you for your help,
VO

RE: EPANET

Does your model match conditions?
are you modeling a real world setup? or is this for design
If a real world setup, match the model to the real world, eg if you are getting negative pressures in the model are you also getting complaints about lack of water, if not then adjust the model.
If this is for a new design figure out which solution is in the budget, bigger pumps are have lower initial cost than replacing pipe but have increased long term costs, larger pipes cost more up front but reduce power consumption
