Recommended PT book to EC2

Does anyone have a recommended PT book to EC2?
Thanks

RE: Recommended PT book to EC2

do you mean pre/post-tensioned? What does PT mean?

Check out The Concrete Centre publications "How to design concrete structures using Eurocode 2" which should be helpful. There are two versions, for bridges and buildings. Note that they are primarily suited for UK designers, and give equations with all the UK NA values plugged in which eliminate a lot of the faff associated with EC2. For prestressed structures theres a good worked example for a prestressed composite integral road bridge which can be found on their website I believe.

Hope this helps!

Hi ukbridge,

Thanks

PT means post-tension and it is for buildings.

RE: Recommended PT book to EC2

Struggle,

I do not understand the need for a specific PT book for Eurocode for an experienced design engineer. If you understand PT design, the areas of design that have to be covered are similar for all codes. A simple read through of the code, getting to know the code peculiarities in all areas of member design, should be all that is needed.

If you do not understand PT design, get a good general book on PT.

Rapt,

It is difficult for me to fully understand a few clauses in EC2 without seeing the work example calculations. I am just that kind of person who like to study work examples. What you are saying is correct. That will be the right way. I just started to study EC2 and a bit over-cautious.

Thanks
