Hi...i'm working on a proyect and i need to know the aluminum alloys that are usually used on the engine blocks and heads..any information on this issue would be appreciated...Thank you.

RE: Aluminum alloys for engine blocks and heads

for sand cast components, alloys 356/A356 are used for blocks, and 319 for heads.

for die cast components, alloys like 380 and 390 are used.
