Assigning material property based on stresses

Assigning material property based on stresses

Assigning material property based on stresses

(OP)
I am modeling a body in which based on max shear stress the elements will change their material property. Please suggest how can I do it?
Can it be done without using subroutines( by python scripts) if not which subroutine, I should follow.
Any help will be appreciated.

RE: Assigning material property based on stresses

I have a body of steel in which based on shear hydride will nucleate, so i have created orphan mesh and a code to assign hydride properties but this code should take the data from results in each increment as explicit algorithm.

RE: Assigning material property based on stresses

Hi

The answer for your question is USDFLD subroutine.

Best,
Bartosz
