Is it possible to plug the CSA A23.1 concrete exposure classification (example C-1), into the latest version of the public domain Life 365 software and have the software determine the corresponding properties like w/cm, percent slag, percent silica fume, etc.? I realize that I can input all these parameters manually, but how do I know which combinations will give me C-1 concrete with 1500 coulomb rating?

The slag and silica fume contents will generally be variable depending on the concrete batch plant. Everyone has their own mix proportions to meet each classification. They are all similar (mostly) however each plant has it's own tried and tested mix that they trust.

However that is just my experience.

Due to this fact you can't have a program automatically pick these values for you based on exposure class.

Yes I know, but the variations between suppliers are small, and for design purposes it would have been useful for the program to have included an option for plugging in C-1 concrete (and other CSA Classifications) and then the program would assume a mix with the proportions necessary to obtain C-1, and print out what its assumptions are. How is the structural engineer supposed to know what proportions are required to obtain a C-1 mix (suppliers won't divulge this information, except if you know someone there)? I suppose the structural engineer can plug in the values in the Annex to CSA S413 in the example for determining time to repair, but would have been nicer if the program did this for you.
