Air Entrainment in DWV System

Air Entrainment in DWV System

Air Entrainment in DWV System

(OP)
I need to determine the volume of air entrained in a building DWV system based on the amount of wastewater discharged. For example, if a hospital discharges 150,000 gallons of wastewater per day, what volume of air (ex: cubic feet) will be entrained per day into the DWV system?

RE: Air Entrainment in DWV System

Is there a particular reason you need this information?
Plumbing codes provide enough design guidance and specify minimum size requirements without knowing specific air volumes.
